Case Study
The 600
AI-assisted content pipeline. Solo operation across YouTube, Shorts, and a weekly newsletter. An eight-week test, documented in full.
What It Was
The 600 was a content pipeline I built and ran solo for eight weeks across YouTube long-form, Shorts, and a weekly Substack newsletter. The goal was to test whether a content niche was worth a multi-year commitment, with a system honest enough to read its own performance and stop me from grinding on momentum.
The Numbers
How It Ran
The pipeline was a ten-document operating system covering identity, audience, long-form, shorts, newsletter, voice, and growth strategy, plus two living performance logs. Every output ran through a five-step check before production. Every video and Short was logged against CTR, retention, and traffic source. Patterns updated the system weekly.
The Outcome
The test ran across four content categories in parallel. One category produced consistent outliers. Three didn't. The system gave me decision-grade data to stop at eight videos rather than grind to ten. The channel is now dormant, with the archive intact as proof of what the pipeline produced.
The Archive
The channel and newsletter remain online as a record of what the system produced.
